Shoe Addicts Anonymous by Beth Harbison

Well, Melissa A had quite the adventure the other night! wow! She was invited to a ticketed party, and … well, go read it for yourself.

The upshot is that Melissa strongarmed (ha) author Beth Harbison into signing a copy of Shoe Addicts Anonymous, and now that copy is up for grabs — and this is an international give, too! How awesome is our Melissa???

(Which Melissa, you ask. Why, one of the two who runs Chick Lit Central, of course.)

Go fast, though. As with all Chick Lit Central gives, this one has a quick deadline — August 2.

The Millionaire Meets His Match by Kate Carlisle

Hey, all you US only friends! This one’s for you.

Well, the interview is for ALL of you, no matter where you are. Interviews are open to the world. I hope the world takes advantage; these sorts of posts are great ways for us readers to connect with us writers. And yes, I’m both a reader and a writer. But you knew that ’cause you hang out here all the time. Right?

It’s a good interview, so stop in at Romance Author Buzz and read it. And then we’ll get to the US-only part. It’s a give to a random commenter of a copy of The Millionaire Meets His Match. Didja get that? I think I worded it a bit funny. I did that on purpose. Or I would have if I’d been paying attention to what I was writing instead of to what the kids are playing on the Wii.

So there.

Two from Susan Mallery

Marilyn’s Romance Reviews is kicking into high gear even though it’s not the start of the month *quite* yet. Author Susan Mallery has stopped in for a Q&A (otherwise known as an interview, although isn’t Q&A cool?).

There are a couple of contests going on, one sponsored by Susan Mallery and one sponsored by Marilyn. The one sponsored by Susan will let you nab a tote bag with goodies tied into one of her books, Fool’s Gold.

The second contest, the one sponsored by Marilyn, is for a gift card from Amazon.

Go on and check it all out. You know you’re curious…

Close Your Eyes by Amanda Eyre Ward

A few years ago, I read a book written by Amanda Eyre Ward. Loved it. I’d read more by Amanda in a second.

Like this one: it’s called Close Your Eyes. It’s entirely different from the one I read, but I’d pick it up in a heartbeat.

YOU can get there before I can (because, you know, my TBR piles aren’t shrinking fast enough). Vera at Luxury Reading has a copy of Close Your Eyes up for grabs as part of a blog tour.

The give is open to friends in the US or Canada only. Enter by August 12.

Hotel No-Tell by Daphne Uviller

And for a final post today, I’m sending you guys back to Chick Lit Central. Author Daphne Uviller has stopped in for an interview and to spotlight her new book, Hotel No-Tell.

Check it out; Daphne is slick and easy to relate to. I like her.

One copy of Hotel No-Tell is up for grabs, as well. The contest is open to US friends only (including us PO Box holders! Woot!), and it ends on August 1. The interview? That’ll be there forever. The Internet is cool like that.

The Brightest Star in the Sky by Marion Keyes

I read a book or two by Marian Keyes and LOVED it. So I got my hands on a bunch more and … not so much.

Maybe her new book, The Brightest Star in the Sky, will redeem her in my eyes. We’ll see.

YOU can see by stopping in at Chick Lit Central, where the Melissas are celebrating the paperback release of The Brightest Sky in the Sky. They’re doing this with an interview provided by the publisher and … you know it! A give!

This is quite a give… TEN copies are up for grabs. No, that’s not a typo. I said ten. I meant ten.

Now… for the catch. Ready? The winners must be in the US only, nowhere else, and they can NOT have a PO Box to which their mail is delivered.

Guess I’m not finding out if I like this book or not…

Love Story by Jennifer Echols

I know! You see the title “Love Story” and you think of that old, sappy movie I never saw. I read the book, though. Didn’t get what the fuss was about.

Maybe this new Love Story will be different. It’s an entirely different story, and a fun-sounding one, at that. Hoo boy, this is a book I may need to read.

Julie at Booking Mama’s got the skinny, including a review. I think everyone should read reviews before deciding to enter a contest. Otherwise, what happens if you win a book you hate — and would have known you hated if you’d read the review?

Yankee Doodle Dixie by Lisa Patton

Kathy, our favorite Bermudaonion, hasn’t been to visit Lisa Patton. Not that I know of, anyway.

That’s not stopping her from talking about Yankee Doodle Dixie, Lisa’s new book. She liked it… mostly. Stop in and see why. If you can live with the annoying neighbor and like Southern fiction (I do — the latter, at least), this is a book for you. One copy is up for grabs, thanks to Kathy, to readers in the US or Canada only.

Enter by August 3.

Stay by Allie Larkin

The Melissas over at Chick Lit Central are celebrating. Allie Larkin’s Stay has been released in paperback, and that’s a good enough reason to celebrate. (as if we need a reason for chocolate and/or cake!)

One copy is up for grabs; if you’re not sure what the fuss is about, check out Melissa A’s review of it.

This is a US-only give, and it closes for entry on July 31.

Take it Like a Mom by Stephanie Stiles

From our good friend Rebecca Chastain at Number One Novels:

Debut fiction author Stephanie Stiles chats with Number One Novels this week about her debut novel, Take It Like a Mom. Former lawyer turned stay-at-home mom finds more challenges than she expected with a three-year-old, a baby on
the way, her husband’s job loss, preschool politics, and “a playground throwdown with her arch nemesis” in this comedic debut.

One copy is up for grabs in this week’s contest, ending Sunday, July 31.
