Julie at Booking Mama is all abuzz with what she’s calling a unique YA book. And you know what? From the synopsis she provides in the giveaway post, she’s right!

Another friend we haven’t heard from in awhile: the Real Librarian at Confessions of a Real Librarian.

Count on a librarian to be able to come up with new reads you’d never hear of without her recommendation (librarians and booksellers are GOLD for coming up with hidden treasure books, know that?). Today, Real Librarian has got a book called War and Watermelon, written by Rich Wallace.

I’ll let Real Librarian tell you about it; she really liked it. That’s all I’ll say other than she’s got ONE copy of the book to give away, destined for a new reader in the US or Canada.
