A Billion Reasons Why by Kristin Billerbeck

Sugarpeach over at her self-named blog dropped me a note. She wasn’t expecting to have her interview with author Kristin Billerbeck posted so early, but here it is!

This is a nice interview. Ms. Billerbeck comes across as very down-to-earth and humble. I like her. And what a backlist she’s got, too! Wow!

I expect to see her on Chick Lit Central one of these days. But in the meantime, check her out at Sugarpeach.

Saving Women’s Hearts by Martha Gulati

SMS Book Reviews is back with a link for us at West of Mars Win a Book. Whee!

Today, a copy of Saving Women’s Hearts is up for grabs in a US/Canada only give. No, this isn’t about anything emotional. Rather, it’s about women and heart disease. We may not like to talk about it, but ladies, we DO need to take action! (Says the woman who’s probably working on a lovely case of bronchitis!)

Enter by March 8 by filling out the form. Please follow the directions and all that stuff…

Dance First, Think Later by Kathryn and Ross Petras

Vera at Luxury Reading posted this last week, but it was another crazy weekend here at Chez West of Mars (as was last week, but that’s over and done with now).

I couldn’t let it slip through the cracks. I like this book title — Dance First, Think Later — too much. It’s a collection of life wisdom, and not something I personally am likely to read, but if you’re into this sort of book, I bet you’ll love it.

One copy is up for grabs over at Luxury Reading. This is a US/Canada only give, and it has an entry deadline of March 11. Yep, there are the usual bonus entries along with the mandatory one… you guys know you can depend on Vera to keep it the same and yet different…

Awakened by Ednah Walters

Ednah Walters is a new author to me — looks like she writes paranormal YA.

Want to experience this for yourself? Head over to her blog, where she’s giving away two copies of the book — signed, so you know they’re print. Two runners-up will get Awakened mugs. Pretty nifty promo tool, there…

This is a US/Canada only give, and be sure to read the rules before you enter. You should probably think about following them, as well. Enter by March 5.

Shadow Tag by Louise Erdrich

Oh, are you guys lucky ducks… The fact that Caribou’s Mom has opened this up to a contest and not just mailed the book straight to me says a LOT (or maybe it just says she knows how my TBR mountains are giving me the fits and doesn’t want to add to it. Which I appreciate.).

Here’s the deal:

Because I had bought a hardcover copy of this book when it first came out, I have a trade paperback version of the book which the publisher provided. I am happy to give away my trade paperback to one lucky winner.

What book? Louise Erdrich’s Shadow Tag.

I Loooooooove Louise Erdrich’s books. They are amazing, and I’m sure this one won’t be any different.

So. Get yourself over to Caribou’s Mom’s blog and enter this international contest. Yep, I said INTERNATIONAL, folks. Follow the rules and get your entry in by March 4.

The Paris Wife by Paula McLain

We haven’t heard from Kristi at Books and Needlepoint much of late. I miss her, but I certainly understand you guys who’ve backed off a bit from the gives. I know a lot of you got overwhelmed.

Kristi’s got it under control. She’s also got FIVE copies of Paula McLain’s The Paris Wife. It has a lovely cover; I’ll let you read the book’s synopsis.

This give is US-only. Surprise!

Enter by March 16.
