Guest Author: Matthew Pearl

Author Matthew Pearl has stopped by Book Chatter and other Stuff!

He’s talking about serial killers, too. Seems to be a theme today, as I posted about an encounter with Ted Bundy earlier.

However, Matthew Pearl’s got a different spin on serial killers. Check out what he’s got to say — especially because those killers? They’re NOT killers. They’re serial THRILLERS.

(Yep. Ted Bundy freaked me out today)

Got that? Serial Thrillers. Will they work in today’s society?

And at the end, you can enter yourself to win one copy of his book, The Last Dickens.

There are two ways to enter, so read the rules carefully. You have until October 9, so get busy!

Get it? Gently Listened to?

The book is The Bookseller of Kabul, and it was written by Asne Sierstad. I don’t know who the reader is, and it IS abridged. But it can be yours!

There are extra entries available for this international give. (yay!) Follow the rules, eh? Deadline is October 5.

Guest Author: Lora Leigh

Fresh from her RAW weekend, author Lora Leigh (who I have met briefly when she handed me an arm’s length of raffle tickets) is stopping in today at Seductive Musings.

Here’s what Carrie has to say since she did such a good job of it:

Got the mid week blues? I’ve got the cure. Lora Leigh is my guest today at Seductive musings for an interview! She gives us the scoop on the most wanted character books, insight into her two new books Heat Seeker and Hot for the Holidays (a new Breed novella). There’s also a link to a FREE Elite Ops novella, and a chance to win a SIGNED ARC of Heat Seeker!

Guest Author: Karen Dionne

For what feels like eons now, the ladies at Poe’s Deadly Daughters have refused my offer to our writer’s group to send me links. But every day, I get an e-mail on the writer’s group about who they’re hosting. It’s not the Win a Book e-mail; keeping up with you who send me stuff is hard enough!

So I’m excited to see e-mail from cool author Karen Dionne. She’s been interviewed, ramping up for her second book’s release in 2010. She also is the woman behind the popular Backspace community for writers (where I tend to lurk).

Check it out. I think Karen is the cat’s meow. If you leave her a comment saying hello, be sure to tell her you heard about her visit thanks to us. I hope to post more stuff for Karen as her release date draws near.

ETA: Check the comments… Karen’s upped the ante for you guys!

Bo’s Cafe

Welcome A Few of my Favorite Things to the Win a Book link hosts! This isn’t just a new friend to us, but Dixie’s first book tour. (Dixie says she’s a follower of ours. Aww… We like to hear that!)

She’s featuring Bo’s Cafe, written by Bill Thrall, John Lynch, and Bruce McNichol.

Five copies are available (Usual Rules, guys!). Be sure to read the rules: they are easy, but you need to identify yourself with something. Go see what. It’s painless, I promise.

Enter by October 15.

Second Wind Celebrates!

I got word from Pat Bertram at Second Wind Publishing that they’re celebrating FOUR new releases today. Here’s how:

* We have free ebooks for everyone: An ebook sampler containing the first chapters of all our our mysteries, mainstream, and adventure novels, and an ebook sampler containing the first chapters of all of our romance novels.

* Three lucky commenters will win the ebook of your choice. Which of these new releases would you like to read? You can name as many as you want.

WOW, huh? Of course, it’d be super awesome of you to actually buy the books and help the authors and publisher make money. But if you want to start by checking out those first chapters, you’re awesome anyway.

Guest Author: Courtney J. Webb

Author Courney J. Webb has stopped by Beth’s Review Blog today to talk about an encounter she had with Ted Bundy. Yeah, THAT Ted Bundy.

Ms. Webb has done more than run from Ted Bundy, however — and luckily for us. She’s written a novel called Immaculate Deception. It sounds like the total opposite of what you’d expect after reading this guest post — funny, madcap. Heck, just check out the cover!
