Mega-huge book signing

Hey, romance lovers! As part of the RWA (Romance Writers of America, THE granddaddy of the writer’s groups) conference being held next week in Washington, DC, there’s going to be a MEGA-HUGE book signing that’s open to the public.

I’ve copied this directly from the RWA website, so talk to them for any info you need beyond this. But really, you shouldn’t need any.

The “Readers for Life” Literacy Autographing has become one of the most popular events at RWA’s annual conference. More than 500 romance authors participate in this two-hour autographing event, and each year we raise thousands of dollars, which are donated to ProLiteracy Worldwide. Since 1991, RWA has donated more than $600,000 to literacy charities.

The 2009 “Readers for Life” Literacy Autographing takes place on Wednesday, July 15, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, Exhibit Hall. This event is open to the public; there is no admittance charge. Sales of books purchased at the event go to literacy charities, and we ask that you purchase books at the autographing rather than bring copies you already own.

See that link above? Use it to access the list of authors who’ll be there. Plan on spending LOTS of time and even more money. Wear comfy shoes; you’ll thank me later.

(and if you go, let me know! Drop me a line and tell me about who you met and how cool s/he was.)
